[ENG] FAT32 PROBLEM --
« en: Mayo 15, 2010, 23:02:00 »
Hi, i'm sorry because i'm writing in english but i don't know spanish :(

I used wiibkup manager.

I'm usin an USB HDD

1) Using a fat32 - ntfs partition games don't start (when i click on the dvd of the game in the homebrew all become black)
2) Using a WBFS all works.

So I said that i could make 2 partitions for the ps2 (usb advance) and the wii, and so i did.

The problem is that now the wii works (selecting the right disk on the menu) but the ps2 doesn't work (it freeze few seconds after i connect the hdd or, if i conneceted the hdd before, few seconds after i start usbadvance.

Any idea about the FAT32 problem with the wii?

I'll post the same topic in the PS2 topic, i hope i'll solve one of the problems.

i read that "Hermes cIOS 222/223 or waninkoko's rev19 must be installed to use FAT32 ", is it true?

If it is, how can i install it?

if wii need fat32 partitions, the partitions do not ext ps2 the wii read, try to create a fat32 partition with a linux disk, or partition magic and then install the TUTORIALs as the files needed for the wii

Wii should work with both FS: FAT32 and WBFS (and it should work with NTFS too)

Unfortunatly in my case it doesn't work with FAT32 (made with windows disk manager) I tried with 2 different disk, even with a 20 GB one, with an USBtoIDE.

If I use WBFS all works perfectly, but not the PS2!

Does anyone know why with FAT32 my wii doesn't work?

Thanks
